Born in Belgium in 1968, Raf Simons studied industrial design in Genk. Raf Simon’s eponymous brand was launched in 1995. Inspired by classic tailoring and youth culture, the brand has become cult like and encapsulates the aesthetic of that decade. In 2005 Simons became artistic director of Jil Sander and In 2012 he was named creative director of Dior Women. He was at the helm of Calvin Klein from 2016 to 2018 and was awarded Designer of the Year 2017. In April 2020, Raf Simons becomes Co-Creative Director for Miuccia Prada menswear collections and in 2022 he begins collaborating with Kvadrat. Established in Denmark in 1968 and has deep roots in Scandinavia’s world-famous design tradition, producing quality contemporary textiles and products.
