A VISION
IN MOTION.

We met Dixon before his set at Volt, where he shared his perspective on entering the music industry and the advice he would give to emerging talents. We also spoke about his earliest memories of music and the inspiration shaping his journey.

A: What is your vision for INNERVISIONS in the next 20 years?

D: Don’t stop evolving, always move forward and for the next 20 years what I do expect… I think we chose the name Innervisions specifically because it is nothing you can really think of, it is a feeling that you have inside of you and it becomes a vision. Without you being able to explain it by now, because at this very moment you think you feel you have to do something and maybe 2 years later you actually know why you wanted to do this thing.

A: What is your first childhood memory of music?

D: Going to my parents for holidays on the Baltic Sea and driving the car and listening to Pink Floyd.

A: How would you define love?

D: Oh do you know it is a very tough question? A deep question of course, and I would say that love is the willingness to rediscover and fall in love again. So the drive to dedicate yourself to something or someone and experience together and redefine, and yes: to fall in love again, and again, and again.

A: Who inspires you?

D: My wife, and people that do their profession and work for a long time on certain goals without compromises and with dedication. Who works towards a goal but changes on the way and redefines himself.

A: What about music inspiration?

D: Musically everything that is unknown, fresh, and young.
