They opened a modest store and a workshop in the seaside town of St. Tropez, were Jacques custom-made and designed each piece including the famous Tropezienne sandal. Quality and simplicity became the main features of the brand whose fame began to grow quickly amongst celebrity artists, Actors, filmmakers, painters and actresses who were part of the local scene. Since the early 90's K.Jacques has been collaborating with classic and contemporary designers such as Karl Lagerfield, Kenzo, Courrèges, Balenciaga, Helmut Lang, Givenchy, Golden Goose and James Perse.
