ANTONIOLI AND NOWNESS: POV
A nightclub queue forms in an industrial part of town as strangers wait to get into a party. As thumping beats pour out from within, strangers forge new connections and personal truths unfurl onto the pavement. The newly embodied figures begin to inhabit their reality, until a rumor circulates through the crowd: the club doesn’t exist. Inevitably, the people in line start to question whether they exist either, with reactions ranging from
shock, to confusion, to relief.
POV: OH, YOU MADE IT! I KNEW YOU HAD TASTE (2026)
A white-clad, furtive figure is spotted by the locals in a small Midwestern town. While she appears to one couple as an angel come to fortify their love, one woman believes the enigmatic visitor is a restless ghost, while
another man thinks she is an animal on the loose. Set among the fields, waterways and farmhouses of an outlying American landscape, the film constructs a modern gothic tale where myth and reality mingle to
Lynchian effect.
POV: PASTURE (2026)
In Ripple, dancers Simon Bus and Alesya Dobysh dissemble and merge, their forms manipulated to become ripple effects that hint at possibilities beyond the present and push the boundaries between other and self.
The lines between what is captured from life and what is artistic fabrication are unclear, as dancers’ bodies are orchestrated through time and space in a mesmerizing moving image work.
