Azzedine Alaïa was a great couturier and at the same time a great critic of the fashion system. Nicknamed the "king of cling," he became famous worldwide thanks to his unmistakable silhouettes: a cinched waist and an accentuated bust. Azzedine Alaïa was born in Tunis, Tunisia, in 1935 where he attended the Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Tunis, specializing in sculpture. He then moved to Paris in 1957. He began working at Dior (then directed by Yves Saint Laurent), creating custom-made pieces for the Parisian fashion elite from his apartment on Rue de Bellechasse. Pieter Mulier became designer of the house in 2021, conveying a sense of effortless luxury. He claims it’s simply about the simple: beautiful and well-made clothes.  显示更少
